What a parking spot is in Happypath and why it helps.
What counts as parking?
The place you'd stop the vehicle to deliver: a loading bay, a kerbside spot that works for a short stop, or a courtyard or forecourt you can pull into.
Why map parking?
Parking is often the slowest part of a delivery in dense areas. A known spot saves the loop around the block, and together with the path, the walk-in is known from the moment you stop.
How many HappyPoints do I get?
An approved parking spot earns 8 HappyPoints, and a photo 20 more.
Placing a parking spot
Map where the vehicle stands, not where you walk.
How do I add parking in Companion?
Tap Add, pick Parking and drag the pin to where the vehicle stands. Then save it.
Does parking need to belong to an address?
No. If you're close to an address, Companion attaches the nearest one, and you can switch it before you save. Otherwise it saves as a standalone spot.
Should I add a photo?
Add one if the way into the spot is hard to see from the road, like a courtyard gate or a hidden loading bay.
Should I map spots that only work at certain times?
No. Skip spots that only work outside delivery hours.
Can I map a spot where stopping isn't allowed?
No. Map legal stopping points, loading bays and courtyards you're allowed to drive into.
After you submit
Every suggestion is reviewed by Happypath before it's published.
What happens after I save a suggestion?
It shows as an amber pin on the map and goes to Happypath for review. Its HappyPoints stay pending until it's approved.
Can I change or delete a pending suggestion?
Yes. Tap the amber pin on the map to move it or delete it while it waits for review.
What if my suggestion is rejected?
You'll see why in your contribution history in Companion. Rejected suggestions earn no points, but you're welcome to fix it and submit again.
Can I get paid for this?
Yes. Approved paid contributors cash out their HappyPoints. Start earning now and apply once you have a few approved suggestions.
