Entrances and paths
The entrance is the door a courier should walk to. The path is the route from the road to that door. Together they're the core of Happypath.

What entrances and paths are, and why they matter most.
What is an entrance?
The door couriers should use for deliveries to an address – usually the main door residents and visitors use, or a goods entrance where one is signposted for deliveries.
What is a path?
The walking route between the street and the entrance. It starts at the door and runs out to the road, so it always leads the next courier in from the direction they arrive.
Why do they matter so much?
Address pins often land in the middle of the building or on the street outside. One accurate entrance with a path saves every future courier the same search.
How many HappyPoints do I get?
An approved entrance earns 10 HappyPoints and its path 15 more. A photo of the door earns 20 – the most of any contribution.
Entrance types
Pick the type that matches how the door is used.
Which entrance types can I choose?
Main entrance, goods delivery, backdoor and garage. Goods delivery is a separate delivery door, loading bay or service entrance.
When should I use backdoor or garage?
Only when it's genuinely the way deliveries go in. If couriers normally use the front door, map that instead.
The building has two entrances in use. What do I do?
Add a second entrance rather than moving the first one. Each door gets its own pin, type and path.

Do it on site, while you can see the door.
How do I add an entrance in Companion?
Tap Add, pick the entrance type under Doors and paths, and drag the pin onto the door. Check the address it attaches to, then save.
Why should I place it while I'm standing there?
Satellite images hide which side of the building the door is on. Where you stood is the best evidence of where the door really is.
Where exactly should the pin go?
On the door itself – not on the wall, the pavement or the middle of the building.
The attached address is wrong. Can I change it?
Yes. Tap Switch in the confirm bar before you save and pick the right address. If no address pins show, move closer or zoom in.
Should I add a photo?
Yes. After you save, Companion asks for a photo. A clear picture makes the door easy to recognise on arrival.
Where does the path start and end?
It starts at the entrance – that point is placed for you – and ends where you left the vehicle or reached the street. Companion can end it where Google navigation stops.
How many points should a path have?
One per turn, gate, stair or courtyard opening. Two points are enough for a straight walk-up.
What should a path avoid?
Walls, hedges and private gardens. Follow the route a courier actually walks.
Can I skip drawing the path?
Yes, tap Skip for now. It's best to draw it straight away while the walk is fresh, though – the path earns more points than the entrance.
After you submit
Every suggestion is reviewed by Happypath before it's published.
What happens after I save a suggestion?
It shows as an amber pin on the map and goes to Happypath for review. Its HappyPoints stay pending until it's approved.
Can I change or delete a pending suggestion?
Yes. Tap the amber pin on the map to move it or delete it while it waits for review.
What if my suggestion is rejected?
You'll see why in your contribution history in Companion. Rejected suggestions earn no points, but you're welcome to fix it and submit again.
Can I get paid for this?
Yes. Approved paid contributors cash out their HappyPoints. Start earning now and apply once you have a few approved suggestions.
