Sleep zones

Bedrooms and quiet areas that should not be disturbed. Marking them lets night and early-morning deliveries stay quiet exactly where it matters.

Night deliveries are only a problem when nobody knows which windows to walk past quietly. A sleep zone is how that knowledge gets shared instead of being learned by complaint.

What to know before you place one

What a sleep zone is

A sleep zone is a point marking where people sleep or where quiet is expected — a bedroom side of a building, a care room, a nursery. Each point shows a small quiet zone around it on the map.

  • It marks a place to be quiet near, not a place to avoid entirely.
  • Typical cases are bedroom façades, care homes, hospitals, and hotels.
  • Like parking, a sleep zone stands on its own and needs no entrance first.

Why it matters

Deliveries increasingly happen outside office hours. Sleep zones are what keep that from turning into noise where people are asleep.

  • Guides night arrivals towards the quieter approach when there is a choice.
  • Reduces doorbells, engines, and voices under bedroom windows.
  • Helps property managers accept out-of-hours deliveries at all.

How to place one

Tap Sleep zone in the contribute drawer, then move the map so the marker sits on the part of the building that should stay quiet.

  • Place it on the sleeping side of the building, not on the whole footprint.
  • Add more than one point if a long façade needs it.
  • Only mark what you actually know — guesswork here is worse than nothing.
